This is a stylish watch. However, it is a bit flimsy. The band is lightweight aluminum, and the crystal is plastic. It also appears that the case is plastic (but it is aluminum). The second hand is not precise and does not tick exactly on the markings on the watch face.

The style of this watch is a 4.5 (on a scale of 5), but the quality is about a 3. It's a Swatch - which is known for style and not quality. True, but the price of this watch is over $150.00 normally. Based on quality, however, this isn't worth more than $40.

However, if you are looking for a nice all-black casual watch with a black face and black bezel, it will be very difficult to find one unless you look at the MTM or other military tactical or pilot-type watches. Those watches start well over $250. Those types of watches also tend to be gigantic and cumbersome, whereas this Swatch is not. If you pay full price for this Swatch, you may not be happy with the quality. If you can get it discounted (such as on Amazon), then it is slightly better deal, but not by much.

The watch is fabulous, beautiful, and an eye catcher by all those who look upon it. It has served me faithfully for more than one year without trouble. However, a tightening of the watch band and limiting the time worn have both removed any discomfort I once had. Despite its weight, I am pleased and I would recommend it to anyone.

No need to go into details about it's appearance because this Swatch is clearly an eye catcher with it's orange accents, and is well worth the price.
There are two minor irritants; the strap is a little stiff, being a combination of canvas on top and leather beneath, but it has been softening the more I were it. Secondly, the case is a little thick so it rides high on the wrist. If you wear a long sleeved shirt with tight cuffs, it may not fit over the watch.


I bought this watch in 2006 at the Swatch store in Times Square, NYC. It was the exact same price as it is here on Amazon. I own several watches, both inexpensive and pricier and this is one of my favorites. It's casual, keeps good time, and I've never had to change the date as it keeps up perfect! I have had to screw around with my Citizen Eco-drive watch though many, many times to fix the date however. Anyway, for the money this is a good watch. Plus, Swatch watches are pretty unique. The orange second hand really sets this one off. Recommended.
